If you aren't familiar with the workings of your OWNCS-issued Macintosh and the Mac OS X operating system, you should start with Mac Basics and move on to the various Mac Apps.
After the basics of your Mac, the tool most used at OWNCS is Google Apps - collaborative tools for email, calendars/scheduling, and document creation (including spreadsheets & slideshow/presentations). This is the replacement for Microsoft Office, so we encourage everyone to get acquainted!
